The troubled performance of Rogue One and Solo pushed Disney to put Star Wars movies on hiatus after Rise of Skywalker. With previously planned movies by Patty Jenkins, Kevin Feige, Rian Johnson, and Taika Waititi on hold or seemingly stalled, there may not be new ones for years. But Star Wars TV, cartoons, books, and comics are better when they aren’t primarily tie-ins for blockbusters.
