My character was created based in an old artwork I made a few years ago. I just wanted to make a powerful girl struggling with her own power, but I didn't create a background story for her, so I decided to go with it and make it happen (after all this time). I tried to follow each steps according the classes, matching with a little bit of my own way of paint lol. Most of the time I was just mesmerized by the way Even Amundsen draws, but I tried to do something kinda cool. Shortly saying, the character is an oracle of an old and forgotten people from a lost island in the Bay of Begal. She was taken from her family centuries ago by the two gods of that people, chosen to be the oracle, the bridge between heaven and Earth, gods and humans, creator and creation. She was granted immortality and the power to carry and bring messages to the gods, through the possession of commensals, servants of the world of spirits who obtained strength through the sacrifices made by the people to the oracle. She lived alone in the world of spirits and tried to avoid being summoned to the human world, as she found the whole thing of sacrifices very unfair towards humans, in addition to the fact that possession was extremely painful. Well, I also wrote a few details more and the conclusion, explaining why we don't know about that people, what was her plan, etc etc, but the main reference here to understand the character is that she's an oracle of the gods against her own will. With that in mind, I decided that she should be looking a little bit bored, tired, but with some honor in her standing pose. Not because she's the oracle, but because after all that time, she still holding the role without complain about it with anyone, just her with herself. I tried to show a little bit of how my brain act like you know what? This thing will be like this and that. I was excited to do something inspired by Mayan clothes for her and the people, matching with all culture of the people I created, but I'll need more time to figure the details. I want to do it like a project for portfolio with a whole concept for the story, but it'll be for later. For today, I'm content with the oracle. That was my progress. This period that I was watching the classes and drawing along was really valuable for me. I still have a lot to improve and I'm sure I can do it better, but for now I want to thank for this content. It was super fun to watch and the tips added a lot to the process as a developing artist. Also, I'm open to any tips to improve this artwork, all help is welcome. Best wishes!
