The official website of the television anime adaptation of Tsurumaikada's Medalist manga revealed the main cast pair and a second teaser visual (pictured) on Thursday. Natsumi Haruse (The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: U149) and Takeo Ootsuka ("Oshi no Ko") are starring as Inori Yuitsuka and Tsukasa Akeuraji, respectively. Yasutaka Yamamoto (Noblesse) is directing the television anime at ENGI. Jukki Hanada (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu) is in charge of the series composition. Chinatsu Kameyama (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. 2) is designing the characters. Tsurumaikada began serializing the sports drama manga in Afternoon magazine in May 2020. Kodansha shipped the eighth volume on May 23, with the ninth volume scheduled to go on sale on October 23. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in March 2021.
