A magma block is a light-emitting naturally-occurring block found in the Nether and the Overworld. It causes continuous damage while being stepped on, considered fire damage, except it does not light mobs on fire. Magma blocks can be mined using any pickaxe. If mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing. In the Overworld, magma blocks generate at the bottom of water aquifers in underwater magma features, in clusters of 1–8 blocks.
