Today we’ll take a look at an immortal chess game played by the 14-year old Magnus Carlsen in which he sacrifices everything; yes, he sacrificed all his pieces one after the other to deliver a beautiful checkmate! The game was played between Magnus Carlsen playing White and Geir Sune Tallaksen Ostmoe playing Black at the Norwegian Chess Championship 2005. Carlsen started his attack with a beautiful rook maneuver from Re1-Re4-Rh4 after breaking through the center. He then continued his attack by keeping his pieces active and sacrificing them one after the other to keep the momentum going.
