Chief Constable Ian Hopkins with club captain Jake Moult and manager Phil Parkinson. Local football club Altrincham FC made the news the weekend when they wore a rainbow kit in support of the fight against homophobia in football. The kit, based on the LGBT flag, drew support from across the football world and far beyond. Greater Manchester Police’s Chief Constable Ian Hopkins was present at the game along with Baroness Williams of Trafford, Minister for Equalities. Also present were the Force’s Pride Network along with the GMP rainbow car.
