Magnus Carlsen (NOR) bounced back with a victory over IM FT Muthaiah Al in the third round of Qatar Masters 2023. Muthaiah did not go down easily. He put up a very good fight. Only in the complex queen and minor piece endgame, he made an inaccuracy which was enough for the World no.1 to seize. GM Aditya Mittal held GM Anish Giri (NED) to a draw.
